Are you an outgoing person who enjoys helping others? Are you willing to drive results and make it happen? If so, a career as a Personal Banker may be a great career fit for you.
You'll spend the majority of your time building relationships with clients both in-person and over the phone. At times, you may travel outside of the bank to meet customers at their business. You'll listen and help customers find the right solutions for goals like saving for college, buying a home, and securing a business loan. Understanding different products and services available is important to be able to recommend the right solution for customers.
Being a "people person" is important since so much of your time will be spent interacting with customers. Previous customer service and sales experience paired with excellent communication skills will help your resume stand out. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Find out more about your education options.

- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of products and services
- Listen carefully to customers to understand their financial needs
- Identify products or services to help customers achieve their financial goals
- Comply with operational, security, and audit procedures and policies
- Identify and resolve complex client service issues
- Provide sale and service support to retail branch team
