Do you have what it takes to lead a team to success? Do you like to make sure the rules are followed? You might be a great Compliance Team Lead.
As the Compliance Team Lead, you'll need to demonstrate sound judgement, confident leadership and creativity. A commitment to achieving excellence in compliance and risk management is vital. Your work will include interviewing employees and supervising Compliance Associates and/or Compliance Analysts. You'll need to stay current with new developments, rules and regulations in the industry. Monitoring industry and market trends to help predict company performance may also be an important part of your job.
To get this job you'll need a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Companies will also want to see that you have at least four years' experience in compliance or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state banking laws and regulations affecting the management, operations, and product offerings of the bank
- With the help of the Compliance Manager, create and maintain compliance policies, procedures, forms, and notifications
- Review new and/or expanded products and services and perform regulatory research
- Oversee your team as they gather relevant compliance data and prepare internal bank reports
- Review and perform account risk ratings and trend analyses
- Communicate new and updated compliance standards to your team
- Demonstrate excellent leadership and staff management best practices
